Intervention Zones

Five zones, two countries

The project covers three zones in Portugal and two in Spain — all part of the same scope from the start.

Portugal

Three NUTS III zones

Defined at municipality level using Portugal's Carta Administrativa Oficial (CAOP), with bioclimatic and agroclimatic index data from the project's research team shown in the Climate Atlas.

Douro

19 municipalities, with historical and projected bioclimatic and agroclimatic index data available in the Climate Atlas.

data available

Terras de Trás-os-Montes

Same data pipeline as Douro, with historical and projected bioclimatic and agroclimatic index data available in the Climate Atlas.

data available

Beira Interior

A combination of the "Beira Baixa" and "Beiras e Serra da Estrela" NUTS III units, corresponding to the project's Beira Interior intervention area. Historical and projected bioclimatic and agroclimatic index data available in the Climate Atlas.

data available

Spain

Two autonomous communities

Defined at NUTS II level (whole region, no municipality subdivision), with boundaries sourced from Eurostat/GISCO.

Castilla y León

Administrative boundary confirmed and integrated into the map, with historical and projected bioclimatic and agroclimatic index data available in the Climate Atlas.

data available

Extremadura

Same status as Castilla y León — boundary confirmed, with historical and projected bioclimatic and agroclimatic index data available in the Climate Atlas.

data available
All 5 zones are shown on the Climate Atlas map, with bioclimatic and agroclimatic index data for the historical baseline and the two projection scenarios delivered so far (2041-2070). Additional projection periods will be added as they become available — click a zone to explore its data.
